Hi, I’m Jhalak. I was born and raised in Nepal. I moved to USA to pursue my dream to become a software engineer. I strongly belive that with a lot of passion, optimism and hard work, anything is possible. I graduated from University of California at Berkeley in December 2017 with Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.
I have a tremendous passion for coding and technology. I enjoy being challenged and engaging with projects that require me to work outside my comfort and knowledge set.

Chat Server
Created a chat server using python socket API that allows users to converse in different channels over a network. Users can create and join channels; once a user is in a particular channel, all messages that she/he sends will be relayed to all other users in that channel.
Secure File Storage
Designed a secure way to store and share files in an untrusted server without revealing information to the server or malicious users; implemented a Merkle tree to make updates to large files efficiently.
I went to piloting school in Texas and hold a commercial pilot licence.
I was an army officer (lieutenant) in Nepal Army.
